I see the roadmap lists out a bunch of freeplay events. But I do not see where it lists when those freeplay events will occur (other than the month). If I'm missing it, please point me in the right direction. Otherwise, I think it would be good to develop and post a calendar indicating when a freeplay event will start and end.
Shameless bump. Seriously, does a calendar already exist for freeplay events, and if so, where!? If not, please, please, get one up and running.
Yep still wondering if/where they announce when the freeplay events start up and end, or if there is a calendar somewhere. The only thing I have ever found is the acts section of the game site, which simply lists the events that will occur at some un-determinable time in a given month. I never see anything on the message board when loading in to the game.
If any of you know where this information is, please do tell. Otherwise, Bioware, please get a calendar up and running so we know the start and stop time of the events, so we can plan accordingly and partake in the freeplay event goodness.
The only indication I have ever seen of something going on is in the news feed when you first log on. I saw headings announcing there might be giants and the beasts of the field were live but they seemed to go away after a day or two. I agree with you, more actual info would be nice.
Interesting, I've never seen anything about the freeplay events in the news feed upon logging in... Hopefully we eventually get a calendar, or work out whatever bug/issue is not allowing the freeplay event notification to pop up on everyone's news feed.
March - last edited March
I saw There Be Giants show up in the newsfeed the first time it was happening, but not on the first login during the event. It didn’t seem like it takes any kind of preference over any other stuff that can show up on the newsfeed.
It would also definitely be nice to get notifications about major events happening way ahead of time, because otherwise I easily might not log in at all while they’re happening, for all kinds of various reasons. I get that they want me to keep logging in all the time, but if I can’t play every day, I can’t.
Or, often times I technically can log in and play, but it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience due to various factors that would detract from the enjoyment of the game (distractions, being stressed out after work, etc). If a game tries to force me into a routine of logging in every day because otherwise I may miss something (special world events, items in the store that are only up for three days in the middle of the week), starting the game stops being about “I’m about to have fun” and becomes more of a “start it for a moment just to close it again” routine – which then becomes a habit and, paradoxically, makes it less likely I’ll actually keep playing it regularly in the long run.
