Can't access Fifa 21 on external HDD

I have fifa 21 and moved it to my external hard drive for space issues but now, when I try to access the game to move it back to the ps5 HDD, it tells me something went wrong and to try again. This just loops over and over without any more information. Is there anything I can do about this that won't delete all my fifa 21 progress?
