origin in game disabled

I'm trying to play SimCity but I keep getting a message saying that the " origin in game has been disabled in the origin client. this feature is not available" .

I have no idea how I have switched this feature off or how to switch it back on.  please help

In Origin, click on the word ORIGIN at the top.

Choose Application Settings.

On the panel that opens choose MORE.

Select ORIGIN IN GAME

You can turn it on there.

If it is still not enabled for SimCity, right click on the game.

Choose Game Properties.

Make sure the box for Enable Origin In game is marked.

Same issue here right now. Been at this for 2 hours trying to troubleshoot. I hate this launcher and everything to do with it.
