Permission prompt Missing!!!

★★★ Newbie

I bought a few Sims 4 packs and when I want to download them on origin, it keeps saying that Origin is waiting for permission from Windows. But there is no prompt from Windows asking for permission! How do I fix this? Because the content is not downloading until I say "yes" to a prompt.

Search services on your computer.

Right click on OriginClientService and click properties.

Click the drop down arrow next to startup type and change it to Disable.

Reboot Origin.

Download/update game Standard smile

There are a few things you can try to fix this issue:

  1. Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the problem just like just you can fix Roku Blinking White Light.

  2. Run Origin as an Administrator: Right-click on the Origin shortcut and select "Run as administrator". This should give Origin the necessary permissions to download the packs.

  3. Check your Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Your Firewall or Antivirus software may be blocking Origin from downloading the packs. Make sure that Origin is allowed through your Firewall and Antivirus software.

  4. Disable User Account Control (UAC): UAC is a security feature in Windows that can sometimes interfere with the installation process. To disable UAC, search for "User Account Control" in the Start menu, and then slide the slider to "Never notify".

  5. Clear Origin Cache: Sometimes, Origin's cache can become corrupted and cause issues. To clear Origin's cache, go to "Application Settings" in Origin, then "Advanced", and click on "Clear Cache".

  6. Reinstall Origin: If none of the above solutions work, you can try reinstalling Origin. To do this, go to "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel, find Origin, and click on "Uninstall". Then, download the latest version of Origin from the official website and install it.
