Origin wont update?

I just bought Medal of honor Warfighter put the disc in and click install and EA Origin wants to update but its only downloading at 18kb/s When my Download speed for everything else is at least 4mb/s and then when it reaches so far through the download i get a message Saying EA Origin has Stopped Responding please help?!
