Origin wont accept my American express gift card

I have used an amex prepaid card on origin before but i have tried to add this gift card it says "We were unable to verify your credit or debit card. Please check your payment details and try again. Alternatively try another credit card or payment option or check with your card issuer or bank".

You can try the following options for troubleshooting purchases here 

If the problem still persists I would advise you to reach out to the financial institution, or try an other payment method.
