I used to have just one HDD (D, with origin and games installed on it. I recently got a new SSD (C and I did a fresh install of windows onto it, moved across some apps and drivers, and told steam that my games were still on my old HDD, and it recognized them and I can play them instantly. Now, I've tried to do the same thing with origin. I went to application settings, and made the game installation directory my old HDD, in Program Files (x64) > Origin Games. I assumed it would be like Steam, and recognize them and no further downloading and installing would be necessary. When clicking on any game, it starts completely re-downloading the game, and skips no files, even though the game files are already in "Origin Games". Some please help ASAP because my internet is insanely slow (about 0.5MB/s) and for me to redownload over 100GB of games would be an utter nightmare and would quite literally take weeks. ]
Thank you!

Turn off auto update in Origin Client then at a time of your choosing run updates manually on the games that you want to.

First, did you double checked that Origin downloads the game files? It will always say "Download" even if it is in the process of verifying the game files.
Second, I assume you mean "Program Files (x86)" not "Program Files (x64)"?
If Origin really tries to download the games, use this workaround:
Note: Modded game files will be overwritten (and therefore downloaded) with the original game files no matter what you do.
