June 2017
Hello, so recently I wanted to play the Sims 4 but my Origin showed a white screen then crashed.
Saying "Origin encountered a serious problem and must close."
This hasn't happened before, so I'm unsure on what to do.
I did send a report but had no information on it yet.
I haven't been on Origin in a few months if that is important to the problem.
But it keeps crashing constantly and I've tried almost everything I could find regarding to solutions, Youtube and on here - but nothing has worked.
-I've tried reinstalling
-restarting
-running it as an admin
-clearing the cache
-tried installing older versions of Origin
-disconnecting from the internet
-changing the screen resolution
-cleaning my machine (CCleaner)
-changing the color mode
-Origin error reporter
Forgive me if I haven't searched deep enough and the answer is obvious.
But I've just been sick of looking for answers that haven't work and just want a simple solution.
Thank you

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately, it did not help.
When I tried to install your recommended setup it just showed up white, loaded, then disappeared, but there was no message saying it crashed.
However with Dxdiag, I'm on an 32-bit system and it doesn't say what to do if you have that.

Hello Meadow252627,
Have you tried:
1. Restarting the service ''Origin Client Service''? ( To do this, Press the Windows Key > Type ''services'' press enter > Pressing the letter ''O'' > then renew / restart the service ''Origin Client Service'' )
2. Deleting all your ''temp'' files? ( To do this, go to Configuration Screen > Personal Preferences > Folder Options > 2nd Tab > Scroll down to ''Hidden Files and Folders'' > Check ''Show Hidden Files and Folders'' > Go to ''C:/'' > Program Files (x86) > The folder ''Temp'' > Press CTRL + A to select everything, then press the Delete key. If it tells you to close a program, Do that. > Restart your Device )
3. Making an exception in your Firewall and/or Anti-Virus ( To do this, Press the Windows Key > Type ''firewall'' > Click ''Allow a Program through Windows Firewall'' > Press ''Change Settings'' > Find ''Origin'' and check both boxes > If ''Origin'' Isn't in the list, Click ''Add a program...'' > Navigate to your Origin folder which is normally located under: ''C:/Program Files (x86)/Origin > Find ''Origin.exe'' and add it. > Click ''OK'' )
If these solutions didn't work for you, please reply with your System Specs.

@Meadow252627 Also try to create new OS user with Admin rights, exit from current and enter as new user, and try the steps again.
About "I'm on an 32-bit system and it doesn't say what to do if you have that.", u r wrong, just skip step N3 and go on...

I tried restarting the Origin Client Service, but it wasn't available and was simply greyed out.
And In the temps folder there were no files.
For the 3rd one, I can't even reinstall Origin without it coming up white then disppearing again...
So now I don't have Origin on my computer at all...
And forgive me for not knowing this what is System Specs?
