Origin download on a Mac

Hey! I just had a quick question and I didn't know if anyone else ever had this problem. I downladed the Origin program on my mac, and when going to my downloads to open it, it is using Textedit as the program to open it. Should I download another program to open it with? Also, I don't have a different program it should open with. I've downloaded client downloaders, i.e. World of Warcraft client, and had no problems. If anyone has an idea, please help!

Hey matt, thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately, the current Origin client is not intended for Mac OS. However, we already announced that we are working hard on bringing the Origin platform and store to the Mac in the future; one of the first EA games we will launch on it will be Sim City 2013.
