Manage Your Email Preferences Greyed Out

I am trying to change my account settings to set up emails from EA, however in the email preferences tab the option for Yes, email me about EA's products, news, events and promotions consistent with the EA Privacy and Cookie Policy is greyed out, and cannot click on the box.

I have clicked on and skimmed through the Privacy Policy in case I had to accept terms, there was nothing there. I clicked on the Update button hoping that it would bring me to a similar "Edit Preferences" tab, it didn't. I also made sure that my email was still verified, which it was.

It may be worthwhile trying to access: 

profile.ea.com

...via another browser (or your current one after clearing cache/cookies) to see if you can then access that option.

I am also having this same problem I think it is down to them not wanting people to sign up for emails so they can send less EA FC 24 beta codes out just silly its always worked and has magically stopped all of a sudden
