Petitioning my ban is taking forever is this common?

The time it takes for an appeal to be reviewed just depends on the number of other cases in our Terms of Service team's queue, though typically you can expect a reply within a couple days rather than the 30-day period mentioned when creating the case.

 

You should be able to keep an eye on the case history page here to see when a reply has been sent regarding any open cases.

 

Additionally, I would just check to be sure you're submitting the appeal from the affected account when possible to avoid any additional delays in tracking down the correct account.

 

You can take a look at this account connections page to see the other platforms connected to your current EA account to verify whether that's the correct one, though our support team will also verify the gamertag/account email you're contacting about to make sure the right one is being reviewed.

So my email is the correct but it still has my xbox live old name connected to the website and I'm not certain if I changed the name or used a new gamertag. If I did just change the gamertag I don't want to unlink and lose all my in game purchases

It sounds like there are two separate EA accounts here, though as long as you've provided the gamertag where you're seeing the ban, our team will be able to track down the correct one to review this.

It may be worth creating a new case so the support team can update that accordingly and ensure you're using the intended account once this is otherwise cleared up.

I gave them my email the xboxlive tag and my origin tag so I think they will get it fingers 🤞  I mean its only a temporary ban but it's the acct I stream on and I make sure to follow all the rules and regs as closely as possible
