I’ was charged a small fee but it says it can’t process my card to buy a pack

I was trying to buy a sims 4 extra pack and I was charged a small fee but then it says they can’t process my card to make a transaction so I couldn’t use my card for the pack but then can charge me a fee does anyone know how to fix this ?

This small charge that you're seeing is called a pre-authorization charge- these are temporary transactions we use to verify the payment information. They’ll automatically refund to you within seven business days. You can read up a bit more information on those small charges here

 

 

As for your charge failing for this transaction, you can try these steps:

 

  • Use a different payment method
  • Make sure your billing details in the EA app match the billing details for your card
  • Remove and re-add your payment method from your account
  • Make sure the location on your account matches your real location

If you still have issues once you've run through these steps, we'll need the live support team to investigate into this a bit further, as we don't have access to review your account details here on the forums. It is not a fee. EA does a small test transaction to see if the card works. They try with a $0 transaction if your bank supports it otherwise a $1 transaction if both fail then the card is declined. As we can not see your account you need to contact either EA support or your bank to have this resolved.
