I had to rebuild my PC and all I get is Error 505!! Help!!

I had to rebuild my PC and just installed EA launcher since the Origin launcher is gone and all I get is a Error 505 site. I see my games in My Profile but I can't download them. HELP!!!

Hi @Eladassian Wanted to check if we've had any changes with this issue? If not we may need to reach out to our support to check if we are running into an entitlement issue with your account.

Hi and thank you for responding.

 

Well since I had to rebuild my system. I have been downloading other games from other makers. Everything is going fine with them.

 

I have been looking for each game on EA's catalogue and I did find The Witcher 3 with the note under it "in collection". So when I go to click on it a page with Error 500 shows up.

 

At this point I will try to re-install the app and see what happens.

I do know that the app is not being blocked from the anti-virus software and it is running in admin level as well.

 

I do not think my account is out of date or blocked otherwise I would not be able to type this message out.

 

Again I will try the re-install and see.

Question, do I need to pay EA as a subscriber to gain access to games that I already paid???

 

Because it seems that is what I had to do.

Hi @Eladassian To confirm if you have directly purchased a game you are not required to pay for EA Play/Pro to continue to have access to them. To check do you get that message when trying to select Witcher 3 (or any of the witcher games) or when you click any tab in the EA App client? 

 

Would it be possible to get a video (you can upload it here or share a YT link) of opening the client and getting the error?

 

Also to confirm, Are you trying to download the Game or a DLC? we did recently remove the option of downloading Game extras (Like OST, Soundtracks, and Wallpapers) from Origin or the EA App: What’s changing with game extras?

 

If you are you might want to reach out to our support for assistance with how to access the extras now, as well as to check the account itself for any entitlement issues for the game.

Good evening,

I did purchase a handful of games on the Origins app and after rebuilding my PC the Origin app is gone and I installed the EA app where I did use my Origin login to get in and try to find my games. I reinstalled the EA app a couple of times since my games did not seem to appear on the last attempt I was shown the subscribe window so I went ahead and paid for it and got to see my games and began downloading the Witcher 3 (as you can see in the images). It finished downloading and it says there was an error at installing it. I did it a second time meaning a full download of 5 hours again and still it says it could not install. At this point I am at a loss at to what is going on. My downloads from Steam are going by just fine so it isn't the computer in any way or the connection. I am also getting tired from the waiting to see what happens.

Again any help would be nice.

P.S. I also had a chat with Steve on Twitter at the EA Help channel. I am basically at the same junction with him as I am with you.

Hello,

I do not use any VPN for the downloads or for playing the games. I do have 25/10 for my internet so it is a tad slow at downloading but still I managed to download everything to my new PC from Steam without issues. I have not tried the EA App since then but the Origins App has worked well before. I might just as well buy my missing games from Steam to compensate.

For now I will let it sit as is and not continue with it since it has been cutting into my work time with the PC.
