How do I get the NEXT GEN witcher 3 update

So how come steam did succeed in providing the update today? You guys also had time, give us customers what we deserve.

dem möchte ich widersprechen. Ich habe das Spiel auf dieser Plattform gekauft, in den vergangenen Jahren auf dieser auch Updates erhalten und jetzt gibt es ein weiteres Update für das Spiel. Es ist die Verantwortung der Plattform, dieses und auch zukünftige Updates bereitzustellen.

Klar auch, sollte das nicht passieren, werde ich zukünftig keine Produkte mehr direkt bei EA erwerben.

the witcher 3 next gen released a free update for those who already own the game, I've had it for 5 years and haven't received any updates so far.

Hey all, I understand where you are coming from and we will pass your feedback on but updates for games are dependent on the developer/publisher.

They will have more information as to the plans for those who purchased the game on Origin or the EA app.

 I bought The Witcher 3 and the other two games from EA, several years ago, and i know that it's today that they are having their update for their game, so why is it taking EA so long to get it into gear for this game.

@EA_DarkoSorry but you are not right. When we buy games inside EA Play APP we have an option to keep the game updated. Is not a problem from dev/publisher. As they said here, people that bought from GOG or Steam got the 4.0 update.

For all you are having problems with EA, do like me: buy the game for 4USD in GOG.com. I bought a second copy for around 4USD. Is better than waste your time here. EA does not care.

This is a *, circle-like, type of answering. Of course it's you who are responsible for offering such updates, as the developer/publisher has made them available. 

YOU'RE selling their product and should conform to same standards.

@EA_Darkoso basically what is the answer? There will be patch for Origin/EAapp users or no? It's a simple question so we want a simple answer.

I want to know what to do for now. Buy the Witcher 3 on different platform or what?

If that so, I think the users should get a cashback or something. We bought a full version of the game on your platform - legally. The patch is content from developer and that makes it at this point not a full game that we bought.

Please don't tell me that the issue is on the developer side, because if the EA provide the game for users then EA should start carry about their customers and provide us a patch. Simple as that.

That means that we are entitled to this update, what I and I am sure everyone else here are trying to figure out is, are EA games going to provide this update as its available on other platforms already or are they not. Your responses have been non-committal at best and that doesn't sit well with me. The developer of this game has made it publicly known that the update is free for every platform and so EA have zero reason to delay in providing such.

Alternatively, I would request that EA release the game to GoG or Steam (if that is even possible, unlikely) or reimburse us who bought it from you with at very least a GoG version for 10USD which is what I have here (even less likely knowing EA...) Though one can hope...as naive and stupid as they may be...

So since EA mostly likely wont do what I suggested with the two options here, can they at very least, confirm that we can expect EA to provide an update? I can assume the update must be provide to you from the publisher, its free so you should have no issue getting it from them, the only issue is implementing the update/patch for your platform. So...WHAT IS THE HOLD UP AND WHAT IS EA's STANCE ON THIS?

I got the same problem. Not getting any update. Bought the game via Origin, now EA App. I tried repair etc but no download for the update.
