How do I get the NEXT GEN witcher 3 update

@EA_LannaHi Thanks for keeping us apprised of whats going on regarding the update. I have updated my game after doing a repair to the new 4.0 v but seems there is an audio issue, the issue is not new and some people have found solutions but they don't always work and of course I am one of those unlikely ones.

I came across a thread https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?threads/voice-audio-missing-after-next-gen-patch.11110858/ which does provide some links to report directly to CDPR and I have done this, however some claim the hot patch or fix may resolve this issue? Is this patch already available on the EA version of the game?

Please can you advise or provide any insight/solution?

EDIT: Seems my fix for the audio problem was related to two files in the game install directory, called patch0 and patch1. After following the advice on the linked forum and deleting these two folders, my game sound is working as it should. Hopefully this helps anyone else having same issue.

My update is not going forward after 79% tried 2 times with canceling the first attempt and now I have wasted about 60 GB. I do not have to purchase the same game on every platform to get it updated. I purchased from Origin and I still play. I submitted a ticket and did not get a reply yet. Something is wrong on your END so fix it

It's been 3 weeks since I posted and still no sign of the next gen update for Witcher 3 on EA App, any news at all?

Why do we need an update for a gem launched so much time ago? How about working more on Witcher 4?

Sorry for the delay in getting back on this thread. The issues with the previous update were resolved in January. I'll close off this thread to limit necroing it as a result.

If you've a similar issue today, please open a new thread and add a wee bit of context in your post, like what the issue is, when is started happening, what steps you've already tried to work around it, etc.
