EA provides invalid keys, refuses to replace them

★★★★★ Guide

So I'm trying to play some Medal of Honor before the server goes down but guess what they key is bad, it is what it is for some reason EA bricked a lot of their keys a while ago on Steam so I'll just hop on the support chat for a few minutes to get it replaced like I've done countless times before.

Well except this time they refuse to help and just tell me to go to Steam or post on the forum. Yes I've actually been told the forum moderators will fix my key, I know that's never how it worked and unlikely how it works now but for the mods reading I'm just posting here out of frustration of how much EAs support has been downgraded throughout the years where we are at the point now where they say bad keys will be replaced on the public forum. In fact I wish the forum moderators were the support staff (I think they were at a time) bc they actually seem a lot more competent than whatever company EA is outsourcing their support to these days.

TLDR: If there's even a slight chance someone can do something It can't hurt to try so if anyone from EA is reading who can get me a replacement key/copy of MOH 2010 on my EA Account because EA disabled the Steam keys before the servers shut down preferably, I'd appreciate it. Also just generally fix the support bc currently it's embarrassing even compared to the one from like two years ago.

Hey @tyl0413,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your key here. We do have a process that should allow support to look into this further after verifying the additional information, though that may have been missed in this case, apologies.

As you've mentioned, we are unable to make any account changes on the forums, including granting a key. This is because we cannot discuss or verify private account details on public boards like this, so it is necessary to verify that account and proof of purchase information with support directly.

At this point I'm afraid you would need to contact support again to speak with another advisor about the invalid key, though if you have the ability it may be worth reaching out over Twitter or Facebook instead.
