Games for Ukrainian

★ Guide

Dear Electronic Arts!

Ukrainian players are talking to you.

The whole world knows about the war that Russia has against Ukraine, every day our people are dying from Russian bullets and missiles.

We are grateful that you have stopped selling your games in Russia.

But despite this, Ukrainians still see prices in Russian rubles on your official website, Origin and EA App, which means they cannot buy your games on these platforms (as transactions with this currency are prohibited in Ukraine). The website and apps do not have a Ukrainian language, but still have Russian. Also, some players who have previously purchased your games through Origin, such as The Sims 4, cannot change the language of the game to English when they do not want to play in Russian.

Therefore, we ask you to take a few more support steps:

⁃ remove Russian rubles, which have never been in circulation in independent Ukraine, as transactions with this currency are prohibited in Ukraine (we use Ukrainian hryvnias)

⁃ Add Ukrainian language to the official EA website, Origin and EA app

⁃ Allow players to change the language of the game to English via Origin and EA app

About 45 million people around the world speak Ukrainian. Ukrainian is one of the top 20 most spoken languages in the world.  However, for years, Russia has been destroying our native language and culture (not only in our country, but in all post-Soviet countries). However, we survived and now we are fighting not only for our language, but also for our lives. We ask you not to support the linguistic occupation of Ukraine. Now, in the midst of a full-scale war, this is more important than ever.

Thousands of Ukrainian players are counting on your support! And Ukrainian translation organizations are ready to help with translation.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely yours, Ukrainian gamers

@OksiBik At a time when the whole world is talking "Slava Ukraini!" (Glory to Ukraine!) EA still considers Ukraine to be one region with Russia. This is terrible! EA, why do you need prices in rubles? You don't sell games in the country of murderers - Russia. Or sell?

The region is not one problem.

It is not OK that you (EA) ignore this !
