Hey Internet,
I recently purchased DAO: Ultimate Edition on origin as, even though I have purchased the standard edition of the game a total of five separate times (different platforms and losing the games), I have never fully played all of the DLC the game has to offer.
During the initial download, everything appears fine until the client attempts to install the game itself. When it tries this I get one of two things happen, either there will be an error message reading along the lines of Internal Error DirectX Setup or just simply download failed.
I have done a little, minute, digging and attempted to remove all of the files from the DirectX folder in the games install location (except for the .dll/.exe etc), but this has only allowed the base game installing with no issue and ALL of the DLC's returning with a message of download/install failed please try again later. Well, I have tried later, two separate occasions of a day of waiting and this is not fixing the issue.
I was wondering, is it possible that becuase I own the standard game AS WELL AS the ultimate as separate purchases that this may be causing the issue or is something else? Has anybody else had this issue or now a fix as I really do not wish to purchase another copy on a different account as I have done to many time for the entire franchise (I really love this series).

Hi @ArefuMD2 ,I think you can try this
Close Origin, after that go to Computer / C / Program Files (x86) / Origin Games
-once you are in the Origin folder go into your DAO Folder / _Installer / DirectX / redist
-once you are in this folder you will notice a bunch of .rar's. Delete ALL of the .rar files OUT of the redist folder.
DO NOT DELETE: DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, or DXSETUP.exe
-once the redist folder only has those 3 files that you DIDN'T delete are left, go back into Origin and hit the "Ready to Install" button .
NOTE Right-click on DXSETUP.exe and Run as an Administrator. This should fix all the permission issues.
