Can I get my Origin ID back once I've changed it?

I've changed my Origin ID a few times. If I try to change it again and use one of my previous IDs (for example Starbuck88 was one), it say's it's already been registered. But shouldn't I be able to use it again if I was the one who registered it? Or does it mean someone else snagged it when I changed mine? Seems kind of sketchy that someone else can use a tag I've already used.

Yes, any origin id that is available can be taken by others. So if you are thinking of changing it,  make a new account and use the old origin id, before someone snags it. Origin is not like Steam where 100 players can all be called Indy for example. Each id is unique and can't be used by others.
