Bought expansion but can’t download it on family account

I bought an expansion pack using my account but want my daughter’s account to use it. I can’t see it available and want to know what I did wrong and how to fix it.

If you have redeemed the code or purchased the game on your account then only your account will be able to play the game. You will also need the base game to launch it. 

 

When you purchase an eligible game on disc from a retail store or site, it will come with a Product Code. Log in to your child's EA Account, and redeem the Product Code in Origin or the EA app to add the game to that account. 

 

Our live support team would need to check your purchase details to see if it's possible to transfer the game to your other account. 

 

If your daughter is underage you must know that these accounts cannot make purchases in the online store, because they have limited access to online features due to age restrictions. Find out more about what you can and can’t do online with a child account

To start a new case and begin a chat, please follow these steps: 

 

  1. On the EA Help homepage on PC, type 'EA App' into the search bar and select the tile that appears. 
  2. Select See all help topics. 
  3. Select the Manage my account category. 
  4. Select I want to update my EA Account information.
  5. Select Email us or Chat with us, fill out the webform, and we’ll take it from there.
