Back in December I could play Battlefront 2 as much as I wanted without any issue at all. My PC ran the game on ultra at over 60 FPS. Now ever since March it seems I can only play the game one day at a time, after playing on Friday the game has been extremely laggy and stuttering this weekend. I had the exact same problem in March, perfect performance for one day, and the next morning the game has so much lag that it is unplayable. I will join a round and after a minute or two of smooth gameplay the lag will start and and it will continually get worse until I have to use task manager just to exit the game. Once the lag starts even the menu stutters and offline modes lag as well.
I would like to know the solution to this problem, when the game cam out I never had any lag whatsoever and I played for nearly a month without issue. Now coming back to the game, and having made no changes to my computer or internet it is unplayable. What has changed?
I have tried uninstalling and repairing the game as well as turning off windows firewalls, all of this has had no effect.
I would like to be able to actually play the game that I spent $60 on.

Did you checked for background activity in the task manager after the lag started?

Battlefront 2 was the only application running besides Origin and my total CPU usage never went above 50%.
