2FA QR Code Broken

I tried to sign up for 2 Factor Authentication using my iPhone's keychain.  The desktop version of the site directed me to a setup QR code for iPhone, but my phone says it's an invalid code.  There seems to be no other way to setup 2FA with an app.  I use Apple's own internal code generator built into the OS keychain, not Google or Microsoft authenticator.

 

Is this expected behavior?  Anyone else seeing this?  I can't find anything useful with this terrible forums layout.

Thanks for the link, I was having trouble finding a way to reach support.

 

For anyone else having this same issue:

Ultimately I figured out my own error.  I was scanning the first QR code and trying to use that to setup my app.  The first QR code presented is a URL that links to Google Authenticator download.  The SECOND QR code is the one that configures the key generator.  I guess I wasn't reading carefully enough. :-)

Hey @DijitalBlue,

 

Have you set up Login Verification via email prior to setting up your 2FA app?

 

You should be able to follow these steps to get that set up through your account page.

 

If you're still running into trouble getting that activated afterwards, please contact support directly for further assistance as we're unable to make any changes via the forums.
