Purchase EA Play on child account?

I purchased EA Play on PS4 yesterday and was able to download FIFA22 Trial.

My son could not play it on his account on the same PS4 because he didn't have EA Play.

Can he purchase his own EA Play subscription and play the 10 hours?

From the Sony Family Management perspective he is a child of my PlayStation account. He has been able to access FUT via my PS Plus subscription.

Will this configuration (same console, child of family) prevent him from purchasing an EA Play account, or prevent him accessing FIFA 22 Trial under his PS4 accoun?

I tried to buy EA Play when on his account on the console and through the browser on the console (I logged into his Sony Playstation web account) but it would not allow me to add it to the cart. I believe it is because he is 14 (the EA Play terms are for 16+). Would that be right?

@Daymobrew i’m 16 and i still can’t buy the ea play subscription. it just says ‘this operation cannot be performed using your account’

@Daymobrew i think it’s a sony thing. think u gotta be 18 and have an adult to subscribe to it which is annoying

@Dillonpatel04 EA has lower ages (they differ by country): https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/online-access-for-child-accounts/ so for Ireland the "16+" I saw matches this list.
