A way out: mission impossible to overcome

Hello, I recently downloaded A way out and we are playing me and a friend of mine. We managed to escape from the prison only that we arrived at the mission of the woods where we have to kill the 2 guards we block. I mean, I press and press and I can kill the guard several times. While my friend (with controller always from pc) despite repeatedly pressing the button never manages to kill her. We tried whatever but nothing. How can we do that?
