A Way Out can't send invite to my friend

I'm bought the steam version and i want to play with my friend (on ea launcher), and he doesn't have the game.

Im trying to invite him, but nothing gets sent.

I see him in the friend list but when i click his name, I dont see anything, and he doesn't too.

@Tesohh To confirm does he have is Steam Account linked with EA?
