Why is this case marked as "solved"
December 2018
Hello!
I've had the same behavior, where download was quick up to around 80%. IE, I was downloading at over 20MB/s, then it went oscillating between 300KB/s and 2MB/s. I have tried changing my dns from my company provided one to google and others, pausing and resuming the download, but it didn't affect my download speed. I've run speed tests in my browser and was able to saturate my 220mbps pipe easily from there.
Clearly a case of Origin having an issue, or blocking download speed on too large files ? Why are you guys @ EA reporting no issue ? Did you try it on your home computer for a full download (and not only the first part which works well for everybody ?)
Thank you and good luck!!

Same issue, download started fine at 30MBS and then about 70% through went down to 5MBs top. Usually sub 1MBs i have a 300mbs connection with no issues anywhere else. It is an EA issue.

Just going to state the same thing everyone else is saying: I had 70 MB/sec up till 60% then immediately drop to less than 1 MB/sec. Nothing else is running (steam, b.net, or porn etc). Firewall/DNS/etc all fine because it obviously worked for 60% of the download then bam network traffic nose dives. Must be my * ISP right? Except I manage close to 800 megabit/sec to what I am sure is not a full gig capable endpoint 2 states away? Pause BFV download...install full game from Steam in 3min. Resume BFV download get a KB/sec download speed thumbs up!
EA throttles.

I am also trying to download BFV patch at a solid 128.23 KB/s. Which is ridiculous considering I JUST finished DOWNLOADING BO4 5 minutes ago at 150 MB/s. EA needs to fix this asap. This isn't some me problem it's affecting everyone.
