tapped out won't update on kindle fire

tapped out won't let me update on my kindle fire

this most recent update 6/19 will not allow me to update on my kindle fire
it updated on my smart phone just fine
i'd rather play on the kindle . . .

when i get directed  to the amazon store, there's no UPDATE button, there's only an OPEN button, and that takes me back to the 'update want want' screen . . . big circle

Hi, @pinesusan 

Do you have your game progress synced up to your Google or Apple account? You won't lose progress if you delete the app and reinstall it if it's synced up. It sounds like there might have been corrupted data when the update came out, so reinstalling and/or at least rebooting your Kindle Fire is advised.

yes - we un-installed it

and tried to re-install the game

BUT

it's not on my amazon store now . . . ???

is it no longer available for kindle fire ??

It's still available. Are you able to find it via a web browser on the Amazon store?

well

i just went into my amazon store

searched tapped out

the game came up

but there's no place to 'buy/download' it

it says 'free download', but no button for downloading

only a button to 'add to list'

i added it to list, and it's just sitting on a list

still no place to download the game . . .

progress is synched via EA, not google

hmm

i opened your email on my tablet

and clicked on that link from my tablet

that link took me to the same place i've been going on amazon

it says FREE DOWNLOAD

but, there's nothing to click on to let me download the game

the only thing to click on says   Add to List  - and that does nothing for me

this makes me think the game no longer supports my kindle fire tablet

but you said it does

so

can you think of something perhaps that i need to upgrade on my tablet to be able to get the new tapped out ????

this is soooo confusing

What specific Kindle Fire model do you have and are you able to update the software on it?

Update the Kindle Software

1. Ensure that your Kindle Fire battery is fully charged, and then tap the Quick Settings icon followed by More > Device.
2. Tap the option that says Update Your Kindle to start the update process. ...
3. Your Kindle tablet reboots twice to finish the update.

here's the info i have on my kindle -

Amazon Kindle fire HD 7 ,  16 GB, wifi, 7 in,    android, 

would you need more info than that ?

i 'pulled down' the top menu

went to settings /  device

there is NO option that says     Update Your Kindle

these are my only options under DEVICE -

about

storage

battery

show battery percentage in status bar

date & time

allow installation of applications from unknown sources

reset to factory defaults

BTW under ABOUT   it says my system version is 7.5.1

ooooh  next to that system version   is a box that says UPDATE YOUR KINDLE

BUT it's not lit up,  it's just gray,  nothing happens when i tap it

i'm close, but no cigar !!!

p.s.  when i 'reply' to you, the current message from you disappears, so i can't read what you said

i had to re-open your email, click the link in a different window    to get back to what you said
