sims won't let me download mods after update

I think the title is self-explanatory tbh. I'm just frustrated at this point, would I need to wait until Sims fixes this issue, or? I've tried repair it and everything.

@imtireeed  What do you mean that the game won't let you download mods?  If you can't enable mods, please see the first post of this thread:

If the issue is different, please explain what you're attempting to do that doesn't work, and what happens when you try.  Please also let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.
