"Sign into the EA download manager to verify ownership."

I can't play my game Pro Street that I just got for $10. I try to start it up and it asks me to sign into my EA account, I put in  the info and press sign in. It opens the game for 5 seconds and a error comes up saying "In order to launch this game, please log into the EA download manager to verify your ownership, then try again." Can someone pls help me, I feel like I just wasted $10

@legotech1 The EA download manger was replaced by Origin.

Not sure if this is what you need as its not mentioned in your post but if it has not already been done then download the origin client using the link below.
https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/download
after installed and origin is open press the "origin" button at top then "redeem product code"

If it has already been done, and this is not a "used" copy then you can contact EA help and they will test the code.

I ran into the same issue and i dont know where to go or what i need to do to verify this..

I had the same issue, I put an icon for the game on the desktop then ran troubleshoot compatibility. set it for windows 7 then set the scaling at 100% then it worked.
