origin won't let me update my sims4 [ Edited ]

I want to play sims4 but origin won't let me play the game unless I update them, but the thing is every time I press update, it will start updating but it stops and it says "update fail, please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location" I tried restarting the computer and I tried restarting origin app. can u please help me solve this problem. PLEASE I NEED AN ANSWER ASAP!!!!! thank you (I'm using MacBook Air)

I tried the method you suggested me but its still not working. it keeps on saying "download fail" Is there another way to fix this? cause all the method won't work for me.

Hey @rino11661166 can you go ahead and check to see if you have enough hard drive space to download and install the update as generally this error message is due to not having enough free space for the update.
