origin "update" wont let me go on origin

I can't go on origin anymore because of the "updates" it keeps trying to do. it wouldnt complete the update and now i cant install the sims 4! i have tried uninstalling then reinstalling over and over again but it never works! its really starting to annoy me

I have problems with origin all the time. Try booting in safe mode, and if you're on Windows Seven, enable the hidden admin account and try there.

Try the following steps: 

• Firewall and/or Antivirus are blocking the connection --> Add an exception for the Origin Client
• You have Proxies turned on --> Turn them off in your Internet settings.
• Reset your hosts file
• Make sure that you run Origin as administrator
• Check that you do not have any programs running that my cause conflict with Origin
• If that still does not help, please run a Clean Boot as this will help with stopping any other programs from interfering.

@aaronxxarson thank you so much! it finally updated. but what do i do since it says that the install (of the game) was temporarily unavailable? do i just wait?
