i lost disc 2 and can't download the sims 4. how do i download?

@blackpixxa Hi,

You will first want to download and install the Origin Client: https://www.origin.com/download

Next, start the Origin Client with administrator rights: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/

You can then log in with your account, the same that you had used to initially purchase your game (and also the one you just posted on the forum here with).

Now click on the "My Games" tab within the client.

There you will find a box tile of your Sims 4 game. Click it and choose download.

Once the download and installation has concluded, you can click the game tile again and choose play!

Let us know if you run into any issues on the way.

Clear Origin's cache.
Make sure to white-list Origin and the Sims 4 in your security programs, then run both programs as administrator.

@oldgranny01 Launch the game from the Origin client and not from the desktop shortcut. Do not close the client.

i need help i brought the disc ages ago and installed it on my pc over a year ago with only one disc i never had a disc two and have never used a disc two to install now it wont let me install again saying i need a disc two, but again i have never ever had a disc two and never needed one, confused i had to uninstall the game so now trying to reinstall it yet i cant because of this apparent disc two that i never had in the first place??????? please helppppp

Hey @vixsterbabys16 I'm locking this thread as it is quite old.

Are you downloading and installing the game from Origin, if not can you try that now to see if it works?

If the issue remains can you create a new thread with as much info as possible.
