direct x error when installing dragon age origins

I got a gaming PC recently and I've been excited to play my favorite series over again. I keep having problems getting DA:O to run or even install. I've tried nearly everything (or at least I think so):

-Installed/uninstall twice

-Installing direct x individually

-going into the direct x folder in the game's files and deleting all the .rar's

my dxdiag shows no errors, which I've attached.

The error code I was getting was "invalid license missing dll [d3dx9_36.dll]" when I'd go to run the game and i haven't seen any threads about that error specifically, thus why I'm posting.

in my most recent reinstall it won't even let me finish installing the game because of an "internal error" that isn't explained.

I'm so sad and frustrated!! please help if you can.

DirectX 11.1

Nvidia Phyxx Legacy Driver

Latest Physx Drivers

Try installing the oldest DirectX (9.0c).

Between those drivers and the threads, you should be able to solve the issue.

This is what I get now, I went and deleted all the unecessary .rar files from the direct x file like another post suggested.

Hey @hippiexprincess you should be able to fix this issue by installing the latest version of DirectX: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/179113/how-to-install-the-latest-version-of-directx

@EA_Darko I already have directx 12, as my dxdiag shows.

The error points to issues with your DirectX install and as such you need to reinstall it @hippiexprincess.

@EA_Darko How do I do that? The link you gave me shows that DirectX 12 does not have a standalone package and that all updates come with windows updates. My system is up to date.

I also tried going into the game's DirectX file and installing directly from that exe but that gave me an error as well, I'm pretty sure I included that screenshot as well but I could be wrong.

@ivrognard thank you SO MUCH for your help- i've been working on this for DAYS and the first thread had a video that had my exact issue. We are all fixed now.
