Origin won't work

It says I am offline. When I click origin a blank white screen pops up that says "offline" in the right corner but when clicked nothing happens. I cannot restart it or move it to trash because it is apparently constantly open somehow. I have tried everything and restarting my laptop did nothing. I have gotten into my account via google but can't find anyway to help myself. Please help me.

move into trash? Are you using a Mac?

There are a lot of technical information missing in your post, for instance, Which operating system are you using? Did origin previously work on your system? Have you tried uninstalling origin, then installing fresh? Have you tried clearing cache?
