You earned a newbie badge and anniversary badge email

Hi there,

I just received 4 emails out of the blue

email 1: newbie badge

email 2: first anniversary

email 3: fourth anniversary

email 4: fifth anniversary

The issue is that I have never used this answers HQ and this is the first time I post a question.

Can someone form EA explain why I am receiving these emails?

Great question! Badges were added to the Answers HQ and although you were not active on these boards, you registered your account a while ago which made you eligible for those specific badges. Other players received these notifications as well since we just pushed out new badges. 

If you want to opt out of these emails you can change your notification preferences under your account settings by going to the top right corner of the page.
