Windows 10 says it's not supported..

★★★ Newbie

I was downloading Origin off the Sims 4 disc.

But every time I try to open Origin, the screen "An update is required." pops up and says that I have to have Windows 7+, and I have a windows 10.

I tried to reinstall it, and have been browsing through EA questions for a couple of hours.

@NevaehOwO  The issue is probably that the version of Origin on your Sims 4 disc is so out of date it can't even properly update itself.  Please use these guides to clearing Origin's cache and uninstalling Origin "the hard way" to completely remove all traces of Origin from your computer.

Restart your computer, download the full installer, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."  This is a direct download link:

Once it's installed, run Origin as an admin too, at least until Sims 4 is installed and working.  Unless you have very slow internet, it's probably easier and more efficient to register the Sims 4 code and download the game directly from Origin, rather than installing via disc.  The disc version of the game itself is probably quite out of date too and would need to be patched, whereas you'd be downloading the newest version from Origin.
