There are several options that did not make it into the new client - we are however investigating in bringing the missing options back.

When can we expect this feature to be re-added? A new build just dropped and it is still absent. I've seen this reported as far back as August in another thread, that's some 3 months ago now. Seems rather odd it's taking such a long time to re-implement.

I cannot give you an estimate at the moment - there is a long to-do list for the Origin client and certain features or bugs might be higher priority than others.

I think EA removed this because they do not want that Origin games launch from Steam and the Origin client is being abandoned by the people. But this gives issues for all: Steam, Steam Controller, Steam Link. Should be added as fast as possible because is so annoying.

I found a way to revert Origin to the older client.
1. Launch Origin in Windows XP compatibility mode (right click the exe, properties.)
2. Set Origin to not update the client automatically and close it.
3. Take it out of compatibility mode and relaunch it.
4. Enjoy. It works 100% as it used to, including the exit after gameplay option.
