What percentage of game concepts get taken into development?

★ Novice

Weird question I know, but I was wondering what % of game concepts get taken into development?

I'm currently writing a thesis overviewing the brand and structure of Electronic Arts and I was wondering if I could find this information? I'm unsure if I am just searching the wrong areas for such information, or if it is unavailable for public knowledge.

If you could let me know if and where I could find such knowledge, or how to get in contact with someone who might be able to answer questions of the sort, I would greatly appreciate it.

Kind Regards, Adam

Hey @Fallout76IsTrash, that is a really good question but also an impossible question to answer. Game concepts come and go you try stuff, you change the ideas, you scrap a lot and you start over. Before you even settle on what your team like or even something that you are pitching to your own team.

I won't have the best knowledge or experience for your questions, so I have a few recommendations below:

I do recommend to read up on this Tumbler profile, he explains a lot how development works and the ideas on how and why companies do X thing and also how the industry works.

It's worth a shot to contact our PR department to see if they can get a more in-depth answer than I provided:
