What Extension Cable is best for my gaming PC

I have currently purchased a gaming PC, what extension cable would be best and powerful? If somebody could link me some options please?

@SophieBxnks  DisplayPort works great with modern graphics cards and laptops.  A new monitor should come with a DP cable already.  Avoid HDMI if you want a high refresh rate, as many monitors only support up to 60 Hz when running through an HDMI cable.

@SophieBxnks  That would be fine, as would any other quality surge protector.

DisplayPort is just a type connector in the cable that goes from graphics card to monitor.  Here are some good pictures:

And again, the monitor should come with cables; no need to buy your own.
