I updated Origin recently and have been able to play the Sims 3 since then. Now, when I click "Play" in Origin, the launcher doesn't open, the game isn't running in my Task Manager - nothing happens when I hit "Play". Please help.

@LeeeAnnimal Try the reset to factory - reset sims 3 to factory - This is a fast way to tell you if the game or the user data is causing the problem. If the starts and runs then something in the user data is causing issues.

@roberta591I'm sorry I'm new to most of this stuff and that suggestion makes me nervous. I don't want to lose any game progress. I would hope there's an answer to this without me having to reset the settings of my game.
Also, to clarify: This is for my PC, not a Mac.

@LeeeAnnimal You can try open Origin - game library - right click TS3 icon - repair - might help. Sorry for the delay in response but I had a personal errand to do.

Great to hear that you got it sorted @lesmisloony but I will have to lock this thread given its age.
