The Sims 3 download in progress constantly

So I recently moved from a windows computer to a mac and had to move all my sims 3 games over from disc to Origin and now everytime I go to play the game it tells me that there is a download in progress but its not showing up anywhere else and the % is literally just showing a % sign and no numbers (I'm going to try to add some photos to the post so that people know what I'm talking about). 

Ive tried everything I can to fix it but it won't let me run an update on it. 

Does anyone know how to fix this? Like I love sims 4 but i do miss sims 3 every now and again 

Also there are 11 expansion packs and stuff packs connected to my sims 3 base game, if that makes any difference

Hi @BreannaLouise,

Could you please try resetting your Origin and then check if the same issue occurs?
