TS3 worlds missing After moving to a new pc

★★★ Newbie

The wolds are not even showing ups as being purchased anymore, Midnight Hollow, Dragon Valley and fairly certain Roaring Heights.  These were all purchased by my husband years back along with a bunch of digital expansions and some stuff packs.  Most things are there but these three packs are just gone as if they'd never been purchased.  They were purchased well before TS4 was released at a time there was a big sale right before world adventures was released.  I have no idea why they are gone, but this is insane we can lose what was paid for.  Not happy  -_-

@InannaWintermoon  Those worlds are all standalone Sims 3 Store products, not expansion or stuff packs.  As such, they need to be downloaded and installed through the store, not Origin.

https://store.thesims3.com/

Login with your Origin credentials, then click Store > My Store Account > Purchase History, and download your content from there.  Or, once you're logged in, you can download the worlds (or any other items you own) directly from their product pages.

Dragon Valley:  https://store.thesims3.com/dragonvalley.html?categoryId=12642&section=UpSell

Midnight Hollow:  https://store.thesims3.com/midnighthollow.html?categoryId=12642&section=UpSell

Roaring Heights:  https://store.thesims3.com/roaringheights.html?categoryId=12642&section=UpSell

For the first two, be sure to check whether you own the standard or gold edition; the gold will have extra content.

Aurora Skies as well is missing and they are not showing as purchased in the TS3 store when I know they were.  Not happy at all as not rebuying all of it because EA lost my info.  Not cool.  Again this is why I hate this digital Bull.  If they lose your info you get the shaft. My husband purchased these things years back and now they are lost because EA dropped the ball.  Felling ripped off to be honest.

I am also missing the duck of bows renaissance fair.  and again its acting as if none of these things were purchased.  Just because they were purchased years back, doesn't mean the should just be removed from purchases. Frown

Re: TS3 worlds missing After moving to a new pc

@InannaWintermoon  Are you sure you're using the same account as you were before?  If you're not sure, you may still be able to find the email address you were using for store content when you downloaded the files onto your old computer.  (This will only work if the game is still installed there.)  Inside Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads, there will be a file labeled [your email].bin.  That's the address associated with the account that owns the worlds, and the other items you bought.

By the way, if your TS3 game folder is still intact, you might have the original world files inside, also in Downloads.  They'd be in Sims3Pack form, so you'd just have to transfer them to Documents\EA\TS3\Downloads on your new computer.  (These folders will only exist after you've launched the game for the first time.)  Store files are encrypted, so you couldn't use them if you did happen to have two accounts, but as long as you're using the same account as before, you may be able to reinstall the content without having to download it again.

Otherwise, you'll need to contact EA customer support.  Store content has been known to disappear, but a support rep should be able to put it back on your account if you have any proof of purchase.  One way to get that is to login to Origin, then hover over your username and select EA Account and Billing.  This will take you to your ea.com account page; select Order History from the tabs on the left.  It might take a while to go all the way back, but you should be able to find entries for all the worlds you bought, as well as other store items.
