Sims3 wont let me sign in to EA at the game launcher

The Sims3 launcher for some reason signed me out of EA. When I go to sign back in, it says my email or password is incorrect. My email is right so I thought it was my password, so I log in to the actual website, got in, and I changed my password. I then go back to the game launcher and try to sign in and it STILL says my password is incorrect. I mean I don't HAVE to be signed in to play the game, but I still want to earn achievements, and buy simpoints in game...just kind of annoying.

@cbbcba54cae289b2 Could you please try the following: 

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools - Internet options - Advanced
3. Select 'Reset' and check the box 'Delete personal Settings'
4. Restart IE

After this try logging in again.

I followed the steps. The welcome page opens and I can log in. However when I select play and arrive to my town, there is a pop up that says, "incorrect email and/or password.

I followed the steps to rest the web browser. I still cannot log in.

I did and the problem still exists. I put a lot of time and money into this game. Please, this is so frustrating.

Just to check, have you tried resetting your password? You should be able to do so on the following page: https://www.ea.com/profile/forgot

That was the first thing I did.

That is very strange @MollyAngel. 

Do you use Origin at all? If you do, could you please try repairing the game - right click the Sims 3 game tile in Origin and select 'Repair'. 

Also, just to clarify, have you had this issue since January or did this stop for some time since then and just now started up again?
