Sims won't update

★★★ Newbie

I had some problems with Sims medieval (I know it's an old game) so I used my serial key to download it through origin instead, because it should help, to update it. (Which it won't on windows 8) It's working on origin, but when I try to update the game, it just stay at 0 %. I had my computer update all night to see if that worked, but in the morning it's still on 0 %. I can play the game+ still, but just can't update it, which was my problem in the first place, because that would lead to the game not being able to be opened. What to do? And how can I make it update the game

Hope for a quick answer! Standard smile

-uncheck the box found in the left of the message: “ Load startup items”;
Select “Service” tab, from the toolbar;
-check the box in the left of message: “Hide all Microsoft services”;
Left click on the “Disable all” button, found on the lower-right side of the window;
Left click on the “OK” button;
-a new message box will prompt on your display. Left click on the “Restart” button in order to restart your operating system.

NOTE save any open files and close all programs before restarting your computer.

Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights  http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2
