I'm having the same damn problem. I had to uninstall due to missing file error and now upon reinstall I am being told I cannot use my activation code because it has already been used. I know that it has been used. I used it when I purchased the game! How do I fix this issue immediately?

I ran Origin as administrator, uninstalled the sims 4, then attempted a repair on the game files. That paused but I was able to cancel the repair and Origin is allowing me to reinstall the game now. I'll reply if I find this solves the issue.
Lesson learned, force Origin to run as admin.
*EDIT: This did resolve the issue. Sims 4 is playable again.
I uninstalled it but I don't have the option to repair it just reinstall can you be more specific?

@teckness Hi,
If you have it already uninstalled, unfortunately the only option would be a re-installation now.
The "Repair Game" option is only available as an attempt to repair an existing installation, in order to avoid going through a re-installation.

@Poodle151 Hi,
Can you walk me through what you are doing exactly? What do you see on your screen when you are attempting to reinstall the game?
Are there any error messages or any odd behavior that you notice?
The more details you can provide, the easier it will be to assist you.

Big issue with this, very very annoying! Wouldn't update or play (because it wasn't updating!!!!!!!) Had to uninstall it and now it won't reinstall. Every time I click install, it says it's failed and asks to send an error report. How do I fix this? This game wasn't cheap!

To uninstall sims 4 you have to:
Go onto origin
Put your mouse over the sims 4 in 'my games'
Right click on it
A list of things should come up you need to press on uninstall
The sims 4 should then uninstall. Your welcome😊
