Sims 4 installation problems

Ok so when i try to download the sims 4 on origin it gives me this error 'error: The VC++ Runtime Redistributable package was not installed succesffuly. setup cannot continue' and the problem thats making it harder to fix is that i have a missing cabinet.dll and i have  no clue how to fix it..

Here is how to troubleshoot the V++ error. Work through that first.

The missing dll error may simply be due to invalid registry entries. here's how to fix that. Use CCleaner
