Sims 4 download stuck at 0%

The Sims 4 won't properly download for me. It's stuck at 0%.

I use AVG antivirus. I also have Windows 10 64 bit ver.

@Mialayo787  Hi,

First off, make sure that you are running the Origin Client as administrator, so that it has sufficient rights to create folders and write files on your system partition: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/

Please check out this article here afterwards. We have had reports of downloads reverting when the file system for the partition is set to FAT32. This is due to a limitation, files larger than 4GB cannot be written. Read more about that here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/origin-download-stops/

If that isn't the issue, please try to download the game using Safe Mode Downloading. You can activate that by going to Origin > Application Settings > Advanced > Safe Mode Downloading

1. I Just recently bought the sims 4 (the disk) and im using origin to downloading but its been stuck on 0% for almost 40 minutes now, its a brand new computer and all so i dont understand why it isnt moving.

I am having the same issue but I have tried all of these steps. When I go to safe download mode it won't let me activate it since origin is running a program (the sims repair). Whenever I open the app it automatically starts repairing and it sits at 0%. If I cancel it, it says it is being cancelled but nothing actually happens besides the fact that it is saying it is cancelling. I use a Mac (10.11.6) but I don't think the update of it is an issue. It's been stuck like this for awhile and the live chat is closed.
