Sims 4 Problems, Origin

The last time I was actually on origin it said that I had to update my Sims 4 game and it looked like it was working and then it just shut me out. Now every time I click on the sims 4 game it pops up origin and says that it's updating and then it throws an error code. Sometimes it will pop up the login screen and will say online login is currently unavailable and won't let me login or anything. I've already tried to uninstall and reinstall origin and it just keeps saying and doing the exact Same thing. I just want to be able to get on my Sims 4 game and change it to off-line mode so I don't have to worry about it anymore but whenever this problem does get fixed I'll probably have to update my game again if it didn't already.

Help, I don't know what to do!

For the login currently unavailable issue, please try the following steps:

• Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
• Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
• Make sure Time/Date is correctly set on the PC
• Reset Internet Explorer Settings
• Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
• Reset the Windows Host File
• A last resort is a clean boot

For not being able to update your games, try the following:

• Clear Origin Cache Data
• Right-click the Origin shortcut and select Run as administrator
