Sims 3 won't successfully update? HELP

So I've tried updating my sims and every time I can't get on it for like a month because it will never do the update and so after a while I just give up and I'll try a month later and it's really annoying and now it started the update but won't finish it. Like the update is stuck on 93% and it says update paused and it won't let me continue the update.

Hi @katie_claire01,

Please try the following steps:

• Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
• Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall, also try to use a wired connection if possible
• Clear Origin Cache Data--when launching Origin again, do so by right-clicking and selecting Run as administrator
• Turn on Safe Mode Downloading via Origin Menu > Application Settings > Advanced
• Uninstall and reinstall the latest Origin version.
• A last resort is a clean boot
