I'm having exactly the same problem.

EA are relying on majority of people not looking at the settings, or once they thought they disabled it, and syphoning as much of people's personal info as they wish.

Disgusting practice!!!

At least if they could allow people that actually care turn the option off! rrrrrrrrrrr!

It's very interesting how all other changes in settings register, only 2 can not be turned off

Not sure if it helps, but I could delete without a problem 2 of their reporting executables from the Launcher folder
